Common Tax Rebate Mistakes
It’s a common sales tactic to promote the expected tax rebate by having a solar system installed on your home. However, this is not applicable to all situations. You are only eligible for the tax rebate if you’re a current W-2 employee and can only claim as much of that rebate as your income allows. This means you are not guaranteed a large tax rebate just because of your solar installation.
Individuals living off of social security will not be eligible for the tax rebate unless they can present a valid W-2. Unfortunately, many seniors who have retired recently find that they do not meet this criteria, and are therefore unable to benefit from the potential rebate. Dishonest companies frequently fail to mention this from the beginning.
At BuiltMX, our experienced business and sales professionals are here to help you make sense of the regulations and variables surrounding solar. We will provide candid advice about your system’s expected costs and savings, so you can rest assured that it is a worthwhile investment for your home.
